You need to set up systems
If you're a small business owner, then chances are that time management is one of the most stressful parts of your job. There are so many things pulling you in a dozen different directions that you don’t have enough hours in the day!
That feeling is all too familiar to me. Believe me, I've been there. But now I'm here to tell you that it's actually possible for you to make significant improvements in how much work gets done without adding more hours into your day (or weeks into your year).
The secret lies in setting up written processes and systems. And yes, it can be scary at first because it does mean getting organized and a fair amount of change. But once your systems are in place and being followed, you’ll notice how your business starts running like a well-oiled machine, allowing you to focus on other aspects of running your business instead.
Learn how to delegate more
No beating around the bush here; this is something you really need to do. A lot of business owners believe that they can get more done (or everything gets done better) if they just do it all themselves.
I believed it myself at some point. But now I can tell you that it’s a myth. The truth is that delegating will, for starters, allow you to free up your time and, second, get you away from tasks that don’t require your expertise or you simply aren’t good at. Scaling a business needs efficiency; efficiency needs delegating. It’s as simple as that!
Running a business doesn't have to consume all of your time and energy. In fact, it’s imperative that it doesn’t!
Doing everything yourself isn’t only inefficient, it leads to exhaustion, health problems, and burnout, leaving you stuck in a vicious circle that not only harms you, it puts a huge strain on relationships with friends and family
